Charity
Do we count our charity by our tax receipts? Is charity cleaning out our closets and giving the contents to a thrift shop? Is charity giving someone a gift knowing we will get one in return? No, none of these acts are acts of charity. All we are doing is making ourselves feel good by calling it charity. In reality we are only doing for ourselves.
Charity is giving of ourselves; it doesn’t even have to be an item. We can give of our time to someone. It doesn’t have to be to a recognized group. Just listening to someone who needs a friendly ear can be one of the most charitable acts. Teaching someone to do something they are struggling with or even helping him or her to do it. Just spending time with a lonely or sick person.
Let us not forget that giving large amounts of money etc. to charitable organizations can also be charity; but let us remember that it is not the actual giving that is the charity, the thought behind the giving is what makes it charity. So giving money to an organization so as not to have to give it to the government or giving to have everyone think we are generous, or giving to receive or giving to unload what we no longer want are not really charity. The next time we decide to do an act of charity let us check our hearts and differentiate between charitable giving and just giving.
Evolution
Darwin’s theory of evolution is taught throughout our schools and readily accepted as fact while the idea of a God creating everything is looked upon a delusional. According to Darwin, people evolved from apes that in turn evolved from some other species and so on down the line. How long ago do the scientists claim the earth came into existence? Whatever the number of years it is, is it enough time for a virus to have made it all the way up the chain of life to become a human? The history of the earth is already filled with many chapters covering thousands and thousands of years and there has not been any proof yet that a snake has had kittens.
We have yet to come up with a better explanation, especially when we look at the apes and see how much they resemble man. Also, those of us who have pets that are very intelligent, have great difficulty in believing that there is no heaven for them when they leave this earth so what is the real answer?
The real answer is that Darwin is correct, or could be correct if he had added one simple concept. That concept is that of “reincarnation”. Humans did descend from the apes and the apes descended from some other animal and that animal descended from a plant and that plant from a lower form, but not by the process of being born a new species on earth but by leaving earth through physical death and being reborn in a more advanced state.
God created a material world to assist the fallen spirits to make their way back to heaven. In this material world, he allowed for them to work their way up through stages that were complimentary to their attitude and there are also stages that allow the spirits to rest from their arduous voyage from the lowest realms. So, Darwin is correct but is missing one little part of the puzzle of evolution, that idea is that of reincarnation.
What Can We Do For God?
What can we do for God or what can we give Him? What can we offer that will be pleasing to Him? The answer is “nothing”, nothing at all, not one single thing.
What does God need that He does not have? Everything already belongs to Him. He is the Supreme Being, the all, the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. Everything that exists began with him. All power in the universe and in heaven is generated by Him. So there is nothing we can offer God, it is all His.
Imagine a child offering of his food to his parent; the parent does not need the food, the parent provided it for the child. Without the parent providing the food, the child would not have it to offer to him.
God is perfection and lives in a perfect world. We are the fallen spirits and live in a contaminated world of vice and sin. Is there anything from our world which would be an asset to God were we to offer it to Him? Does a beggar offering us the findings from a dumpster appeal to us? Do we now understand that we can give nothing to God?
All God wants is for us to be re-united with Him and with our brothers and sisters who were faithful and remained in Heaven. God does not want this for Himself but for us. We are the needy ones and getting to heaven is solely for our benefit and our joy.
Are We Alone?
When I was a little girl, I was told that I had a guardian angel who watched over me at all times. As I grew older, I passed this off as just another make-believe character like Santa and the fairies. Now that I am grown up, I wish I had kept on believing in my guardian angel, I would have been a better person for it.
We indeed are all given a guardian angel at birth to watch over us and protect us. As we grow we are given other angels or spirit guides commensurate with our interests and needs. These spirit guides attempt to help us constantly but they will leave if we abandon our cause or our interest. They are replaced by others who see us through every different type of condition. Their main task is to keep us on a track that will eventually get us into heaven.
This world of ours is not only populated by spirit guides for everyone but also by mundane and evil spirits who are still at the ninth sphere, which is the sphere we live in. Lucifer rules this sphere and he does not hesitate to send his spirits to guide us or misguide us in this case.
Lucifer is not the least bit interested in our reaching heaven, in fact it is a detriment to his reign to keep losing spirits to Christ. Lucifer hates losing any of his subjects to his opponent. There is a constant war between the good and the evil, between heaven and hell, between Christ and Lucifer.
We are always being tempted by Lucifer’s spirits and I must say we are easily lead in that direction since we are attempting to break away from the lower realms and the task is not an easy one. We must be constantly alert to anything we do, say or think that is not consistent with the golden rule. “Love your neighbor as yourself”. Even our bad habits are the result of a spirit following us and influencing our behavior. Our goal should be to keep adjusting our attitude in the hope that we can rid ourselves of as many with each of us. Many enter our lives never to leave again throughout our whole physical evil and mundane spirits in our immediate vicinity and trust me we all have many spirits who travellife.
Tradition
Our lives are governed, for the most part, by tradition. Different races and different nationalities have different traditions.
Traditions are all well and good to give us some sense of order in our lives but only inasmuch as they give us a basis to begin our learning. As children, we followed our parent’s traditions but only until we became adults at which time we formed new traditions for our families.
Once we have a basis for our lives, traditions can and do become a stumbling block toward progress, especially in our spiritual lives. It is our duty to search and to prove all things rather than to rely on everything we are taught. God gave us total freedom. The freedom to question, to search and to change our beliefs. We are not to allow anyone to tell us what to believe. We are free to search for explanations for the things that do not make much sense to us. This is the way of progress. True, the people around us who feel they have an interest in our lives will not be happy. They will perhaps attempt to make us feel guilty for abandoning their traditions but we must not allow them to hold us back.
If we do not reach our goal in providing a better life for ourselves after we leave this earth we will have no one to blame but ourselves. There will be no one to listen to our complaints regarding our lack or progress. So let us not make traditions our guide on this earthly trip. As it is we have not progressed much past the dark ages physically and spiritually as yet.
