Testing the Spirits

When a medium is in trance, his or her spirit is expelled and is replaced by the speaking spirit. Because the medium’s spirit is not present, the medium has no knowledge of what is being said and can not tell what type of spirit has entered and is speaking, so it is up to the listeners to know whether the speaking spirit is a high spirit sent by God or a low or evil spirit.

The listeners can tell what type of spirit it is by the content of the message, those present who are experienced usually can discern in this manner. It is extremely important to know whom we are listening to as low and evil spirits are often called lying spirits. Not everything they say is a lie, that would be too obvious to the listeners, no, lies are mixed in with truths as a camouflage. Another trick which the low spirits use is to attempt to copy a high spirit, repeating what has already been told at another time.

In order to be absolutely sure that the spirit is from God, they must be tested by the listeners. The listeners must ask the spirit whether or not they believe in Christ and they should not settle for a yes or no answer but must demand that they acknowledge that Christ was incarnated on earth and that after his death he was victorious over Lucifer. No evil spirit is capable of making this affirmation and will usually leave rather than comply with the request. No evil spirit can stand to pledge his allegiance to Christ, if he could, he would not be a low spirit. Some of the bolder spirits will argue with the listeners in order to refuse to say the affirmation. The best way to prevent being tricked by the spirits is to memorize an affirmation and have them repeat it word for word, an example would be: “Jesus of Nazareth was the Christ incarnate and was victorious over Lucifer and he remains victorious to this day”. This affirmation has all the necessary ingredients to assure ourselves that the spirit is a high one. A high spirit welcomes the opportunity to give an affirmation, it is not an insult to them to test them, they are usually very pleased to find listeners who are this discerning.

 BAPTISM

Baptism is named after John the Baptist who immersed people in water. Now we still have some religions that do the same and others who only pour some water on the forehead. The method used to baptize may differ but the intent is meant to be the same.

The baptism given by John the Baptist was an outward sign of an inner change of heart, a change from worshipping idols to one of worshipping the one and only true God. The decision to be baptized was a weighty one and sometimes a dangerous one. Pledging allegiance to God and forsaking all other gods was often a separation from their family and friends.

In our churches, no one suffers for their decision to be baptized; it is more of a church ritual since the members are only following protocol and no grave decision is made. In fact, many churches baptize their family members while they are still infants, thereby taking the decision from them altogether, and the intent is no longer to pledge allegiance to the one and only true God but to pledge allegiance to a particular church or a particular religion.

Some churches go as far as to claim that their baptism eliminates all sin, including original sin. The original sin that all of mankind comes to this earth with is the sin of rebelling against Christ which caused us to fall from heaven. If that sin were completely eliminated by baptism, it surely did not eliminate our need to be born on this earth in order to work our way back to heaven, and besides it was Christ who paid the price to rescue us from hell, but after being released from the bonds of Lucifer, we must still earn our way back to heaven, and so the baptism we received did not even shorten our sentence here on earth let alone eliminate it. So baptism the way it is administered today has lost its meaning altogether.

TO SERVE

In our world, there are the servers and the served. The people in the places of power, be it by riches or position, expect to be served by those they consider to have less power, the leaders of our countries, the leaders of our churches, the engineers of our economy, the makers of our laws etc. The power struggles consume such an inordinate amount of time, who will be king, pope, president, governor etc.? The competition can be  fierce and often disastrous. Those who are not in power often suffer in the role of servitude in order to follow the rules that have been instigated by the leaders, whether the rules are fair or not, and often not followed by the leaders themselves.

In God’s world, it is the exact opposite. God who is the most powerful is the highest and greatest servant. He gives us life and everything we require to live it. Under God, Christ is the next most powerful server, even while on earth, he did not ask anything of anyone, he healed and helped and expected nothing from his followers. The washing of his apostle’s feet was a gesture to demonstrate how a true leader should act. The apostles in turn did nothing but serve their congregations. Mother Teresa was likely the highest spiritual being in India, yet she placed herself in the lowliest of positions, attending to the poorest and most desperate people of that country.

Can we even begin to imagine what kind of world we would be living in if the powerful lived to serve the weaker , but then we would no longer be on earth, we would be in heaven which is where power means service.

TRIALS AND TESTS

During our life on earth we have an opportunity to prove our devotion to God, and to pledge our allegiance to Christ, so that we can move on to the next realm, and not have to keep being re-born on this earth over and over again.

The parameters of our lives are set, we call it destiny, and those parts of our life were set before our birth on earth, and there is nothing we can do to change that. How we operate within this framework set for us is our choice. We have free will to do with our lives whatever we wish. Some of the limitations set by our destiny create tests and trials for us, and it is up to us as to whether or not we pass these tests. No one has any control over that part of our lives, not even God, for He has given us free will and what God gives us even He does not interfere with. He may have an idea as to how we will behave knowing us as well as He does, but He does not know with certainty how we will deal with every situation, if He did, then what would be the point of giving us tests and trials to prove ourselves ,and why should He expect us to return to heaven without proving our faithfulness. There is no room in heaven for anyone who cannot even prove that they have not repented after our fall by disobedience, the last stage of the testing ground is right here on earth.

 THE GRAVE

What do we find in a graveyard and in the grave, a body, nothing but a body. The saying “from dust to dust” means that our bodies are comprised of the od of the earth and after our physical death, they will return to the od of the earth.

Some people think that after their physical death they remain in the grave, body and soul, or body and spirit, until Christ returns, and at that time they will be awakened and follow him to heaven. Even those who follow the teachings of the bible know that physical death means that the spirit is separated from the body, then how can the spirit be interred in the grave. If the spirit could return into the body in order to sleep in the grave, then the body would be re-animated and the person would return to life. The only thing in the grave is the physical shell, which is the body, and this body is done for in this life, it will deteriorate and return to the earth and become a part of it.

The spirit is set free from the body and now has an ethereal body that looks exactly the same as the physical body in every way. Also, everything the person felt while in the physical shell, the new ethereal body feels. If the person had aches and pains while in their physical body, they still feel the same pain in the ethereal body until they recognize that they are now spirit. The best analogy is to liken your physical body to the clothing you wear. When you remove your clothing, you are still you, the pains you felt while dressed do not remain with your clothing but with your body, so too your spirit is still you, but without your physical body. So the moment you are separated from your physical body you begin your new life in your ethereal body, and you are now in the world of spirits, all of whom also are in their ethereal bodies. Because we don’t feel any different, many do not know they are dead and act as if in a coma, thinking they are in their grave waiting for Christ to raise them from the dead, body and soul as before Many remain in this seemingly comatose condition until they are awakened by helpful spirits, and this could take years. So prepare for your earthly death by studying the life in the hereafter before you are faced with the transition and waste years finding your way.
