OUR RESCUER
When a parent sees their child destroying their life and suffering for it, that parent usually wants to send someone to them to intervene and rescue them. Likewise, God saw his children destroying themselves and suffering for it and so He sent his first born son, Christ to intervene and rescue us. Just as it is better to send a rescuer who can identify with your child, also, God sent a rescuer whom we could identify with for the most part.
God could have had His son be materialized on earth as a full grown man with all of his intellect and talents in tact, but God did not do it this way. Instead, he caused his son to be born in the flesh as with all of us.. His son Jesus was not born in a castle and did not lead a privileged life, so that we could not say that he had an unfair advantage over us. He was born in a lowly state. How many of us were born in a stable and how many of us were obligated to begin our early years in a strange town because the leader of the country wanted to kill us?
We do not appreciate the sacrifice that God made in sending his first born, his pride and joy to join the rest of us on this earth, which is really a level of hell itself. When our children are born, we hope and expect that their lives will be happy and successful, but God already knew in advance what kind of life his son would have, and that he would die a horrible death before He could be reunited with him, if that could happen at all. After all, he was born a human and could have fallen to the evil one as we all did, and yet He made the sacrifice.
In our Christmas celebration, we rejoice because a little child is born who has rescued us, and it is well that we should rejoice, but we should also give thanks to God for his tremendous sacrifice.
CHANGE
The most difficult thing for us to do as humans is to change, change our actions, change our thoughts. It is much easier to defend ourselves against change than to alter our behavior.
If we were to stop and analyze our actions and our thoughts, we would recognize that we have not come by them through conscious decisions. If challenged, we would have to admit that all of them come to us from someone else, so why not discard them, because it is easier to keep to the status quo even it makes no sense than to make the effort to re-think our thoughts. There is a word for this, it is called a habit.
Our spiritual beliefs suffer from the same plight. Most do not understand the nature of God or the salvation brought by Christ, yes, they have heard it all and read about it, but have they thought about it? No, yet most think they are original in thought and individual in action. This was the kind of behavior that caused us to follow the leader and fall from heaven.
THE BIRTH OF CHRIST
The most celebrated holiday on earth is that of the birth of Christ. We are thankful that the many churches of the earth understand the reason for the celebration.
Unfortunately, secularism has taken hold of this celebration but unknowingly they are also celebrating just the same. In Christ’s day, the apostles complained to Jesus that some were preaching without having the correct understanding and Jesus exclaimed that they were not to be concerned, since the word of God was being preached just the same. So too it is with Christmas, even though the message is clouded, we can still pierce the clouds with some truths. Blessed be the birth of Christ in all its glory

CHRISTMAS
We commemorate this most wonderful holiday by giving each other gifts as the three wise men brought to Jesus. We sing as the angels did who accompanied Jesus on his earthly journey.
Many who say they do not believe in Christmas, utter nonsensical things such as, “Jesus wasn’t born on the 25th of December”, so what, we can choose to honor his birth on any day we wish to, or “It really is the celebration of the winter solstice”, so what, it doesn’t interfere with our choice of days to celebrate. But even all of these people do something special on this day, they also give gifts, they gather with their families, they eat Christmas dinner, so the lame excuses fall on deaf ears and the rest of us who are believers celebrate and give thanks for our redeemer. So even though the story of the birth of Jesus is replaced by stories of Santa Claus, it still goes to show that even the unbelievers had to invent some story in order to join us in our celebration. It is difficult for people to completely ignore the great event, try as they might.
At the end of this era, it will be just as dificult to ignore the coming of Christ once more.
THE SANCTITY OF LIFE
God grants us physical life as a vehicle by which we can learn what is necessary to improve our spirit and make it ready for an afterlife in the heavenly spheres. It is a privilege to have this opportunity, yet we do not always see it as such.
We often choose to abort a fetus if it interferes with our plans and thereby destroying an opportunity for one of our brothers or sisters to receive the privilege of life. Often we allow, or are instrumental in shortening the life of an old or maimed person, not understanding that their life was not completed.
Not only do we destroy physical life, but we also destroy some people’s opportunity to experience their life to the fullest by torturing their spirit as in the case of those who abuse others, particularly when they are young, thereby destroying their faith in life.
And let us not forget those who use religion to enslave everyone who puts their faith in them rather than in God and His spirit world, thereby closing the gates of Heaven by giving them false hope of what is necessary for their redemption.
