SPIRIT GUIDES

At our birth, a spirit guide is assigned to us to guide and protect us; we often call this guide our guardian angel. This guide or angel may have been someone we knew or were related to in a past life. As we grow older, we are assigned other guides in numbers and in class as is required for us to do the things we take on to do. For instance, if we are in the medical field, we are assigned guides who are knowledgeable in the field of medicine etc.

You would think that with all of this guidance our lives would be holy and good, but for most people that quiet voice of our guides is silenced as we go through life attempting to live it without God following our own desires instead.

With concentration and meditation, some can learn to hear or see their spirit guides. Once we leave this earth, we may be qualified to be a guide for someone who can use our skills

 STEADFASTNESS

Remain steadfast in the knowledge of God. Keep your minds open to any voice that is attempting to contact you. God’s spirits cannot reach someone who doesn’t make the necessary opening to hear their words. It takes a great deal of time and effort to develop the skills to communicate with God’s spirits. In ancient times, it was common practice, but in this age, having been forbidden for so long by your spiritual leaders, it will take some time for confidence in this skill to return to the world. Complaining that nothing works or discounting anything or anyone that appears to be in a communicative state will only reduce your confidence all the more. The power to communicate with God’s spirits is a possibility and you are not the first one to learn how it is done, but in your heart you must desire it and not condemn all communication with the spirit world as the work of the devil; or why should God communicate with you if your doubt is so great that you cannot even entertain any spirit, let alone the spirits of God.

WHERE OUR THOUGHTS ARE

Where our thoughts are, it is in that direction our lives will go. If our thoughts are of God, most of our progress in life will be directed to that end. It is not to say that we will be flawless in our obedience to God, being human makes it difficult for us to keep our thoughts raised to God always, but at the end of our lives we will have spent more of our time in devotion to God than to the low side.

The material world was created for us in order that we could use the situations we find ourselves in to learn what the best decisions are for us, and the problems that present themselves help us to make choices that would be approved by God. If our decisions are made with the thought of loving our God and our neighbors before satisfying our own desires, then we will have learned to raise ourselves to God.

Too many people do not understand the reason for their incarnation in a human body and therefore they become totally embroiled in the human element, all of their thoughts and energy are used to live on the earth, they become consumed with the affairs of the human level: making money, looking great in the eyes of others, being stronger, better and more powerful than the next person. The fault does not lie in obtaining these purely human goals, the fault lies in the pursuit of these goals for their own merit. If we live our lives for God, He may choose to give us all of these things if He perceives that it will not weaken our resolve to do His will and relegate us to the level of humankind which is what He would like us to avoid.

 OUR REBELLION

It was against Christ that the heavenly spirits had rebelled, it was not directly against God and it was not against Gabriel or Michael or any of the other sons of God. This was the original sin that one third of heaven’s angels had committed. Of course, committing such a sin against Christ could also be considered an insult to God as He was the one who had placed Christ as the ruler of the heavenly spirits, and why you may ask had God not chosen one of His other sons? Because Christ was his first born and isn’t’ it the first born who inherits from the Father? Also the other sons were not yet born; they were created through Christ, therefore they were by birth placement inferior to him and in reality subject to him because of this placement.

Except for God Himself, no spirit is perfect and none of them were perfect as their behavior has demonstrated, or our behavior, since we were those rebellious spirits.

 TEACHING BY EXAMPLE

By example, is sometimes the only way to guide people to God. Showing them kindness may incite them to do acts of kindness toward others and that is the beginning of “Love they neighbor”.

Many do not want to even hear the name of God or of Christ Jesus; to them it is an irritation. They may in their past have had a negative impression of religion and they will have to come to God in their own time.

Others are so preoccupied with their worldly lives and can totally ignore any mention of God or Christ; it is not in their minds or in their vocabulary and will likely not be for a long time to come, perhaps not even in this life.

Many others hear your efforts to teach them but they are sure they already know everything there is to know regarding God and Christ and nothing you tell them will impress them. They see those who dedicate their lives to God but it is not for them, they do not want to put forth the effort; it is too time consuming for them, they have better things to do. So by example is the best way to open their lives to the possibility of something or someone greater than themselves.
