TRUST IN GOD

Trust in God and in Jesus Christ. Do not place your trust in man for although they may never have let you down, they are incapable of being trusted always. It is not that your fellow man wants it this way, it is that man is flawed, he is still a part of the earth, the realm that was created to teach mankind and to perfect him in order to help him reach Heaven where he once lived. If man is on earth to learn, then it must be that he has not reached the goal and so flaws will be found in him.

To place your faith and trust in mankind is to set yourself up for disappointment. And why should you expect perfection from another fellow traveler when you yourself cannot be trusted either. Why place impossible expectations on others when they are at the same place as you are with the same failings. Only God can be counted on for everything that you need, do not burden your fellowman with impossible expectations.

WHO HAVE WE BEEN?

Most of us have already had many lives and most of us will have many more before we understand the reason for our being on earth.

Some of us may have been followers of Jesus, and some of us may have been part of the crowd who shouted for Jesus to be crucified.

Some of us may have been in the long trek in the desert with Moses, and maybe were the ones who complained that the manna from God was not good enough so that we died while still eating the flesh of the fowl He sent to us at our request.

Some of us may have been a part of Hitler’s army who destroyed the lives of so many Jews, and some of us may have been the murdered Jews.

Some of us may have committed atrocious crimes in our past lives and died while incarcerated.

There are so many possibilities for our past and since we have been here so many times, there is a good likelihood that our past lives have not been a model of perfection.

And so it is not for us to complain that our lot in life is not all that we think it should be, but maybe it is what we deserve.

ARE WE DESERVING?

Are we deserving of God’s love and blessings, we are after all created by Him; He is our Father.

We tithe to the church, are we not deserving of a prosperous life? Do the preachers not tell us that if we give, we will receive much more in return?

The truth is that we do not deserve anything, we rebelled with Lucifer against Christ and were all cast out of Heaven, should we receive anything for this but punishment?

The only reason that we even receive anything is because of the love of God and Christ. God and Christ love us in spite of our disobedience. We are given a life on earth, prosperity, sustenance and much more, not because we have earned it or deserve it, but only because God chooses to give us anything at all. We ought to be thankful for every little thing that we receive. Our prayers should first be prayers of thanks and only after that, prayers of request, and those requests should be for help in succeeding spiritually in our lives.
